Baha Mar Economic Stimulus
Baha Mar development will generate significant economic stimulus for the Bahamas with:
A projected 2.3 million annual visitor room nights;
An injection of $1.1 billion in spending and direct taxes into the Bahamian economy in the first year of operation; and Generating an additional $740 million of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the Bahamas 6,000 to 7,000 new permanent positions and 11,000 Bahamian jobs overall.
Clearly Baha Mar’s unprecedented project represents not only a new era of touristic and economic development in the Bahamas but a transformation of the Bahamas luxury real estate market on Cable Beach a popular upscale luxury residential community on western New Providence.
As its 300 residential condominiums for private ownership, world class golf course, the largest casino in the Caribbean and retail village will greatly enhance the availability of the very best Bahamas luxury real estate in luxurious beachfront island real estate.
This combined with Baha Mar’s promise to “feature an authentic, truly Bahamian design across all architectural elements, fusing together the region’s Colonial, European and African influences. Lush natural landscapes and waterscapes, the resort’s open-air porte-cochere, expansive water boulevard and 50-foot- high circular water-wall” should allow for this resort to have some of the finest amenities assembled in a single resort community.
Baha Mar has also promised a “A world-class design team as well as some of the best and most famous interior design firms operating in the hotel and leisure industry” further enhancing its luxury status.
And of course Cable Beach’s location on New Providence put Baha Mar’s proposed resort within hours of most U.S. cities, less than 10 minutes from The Lynden Pindling International Airport and 12 minutes from world famous Bay Street making the resort community easily accessible too for those desiring a Bahamas real estate second home or Bahamas luxury real estate investment property.
