Mario Carey - CLHMS, CRS, CIPS, President & CEO
With more than 30 years of real estate experience under his belt, Mario Carey is recognized as the leader in luxury home sales in The Bahamas. To date, Mario has sold more than a billion dollar's worth of properties to customers worldwide. Mario started his career after earning a B.A. in Real Estate from Florida State University. Upon completion of the degree, Carey was discovered by Bay Area Appraisal Services in Tampa where he quickly became the top performer for seven years straight. In 1990, he returned to New Providence, the place of his birth, and subsequently joined Bahamas Realty where, along with serving as partner and later managing partner, he enjoyed the position of top sales broker for 18 consecutive years.
Holding Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designations, Carey was well prepared to sell an unprecedented 38 properties at the exclusive Ocean Club Estates enclave, averaging a notable figure of $7 million per sale. Carey is also impressively experienced with commercial and residential development as both a consultant and participant, including a variety of diverse property types.
In May 2008, Carey left Bahamas Realty to found Mario Carey Realty, a full-service luxury real estate company based in Nassau, Bahamas. In spite of a challenging world economic climate, this venture has been hugely successful. Most importantly, Carey has retained his commitment to the dual dedications that have been the hallmark of his success a constant study of the market and a personal touch.
Carlyle Campbell - BRI, CIPS, Partner & Director
With more than seven years in the real estate industry, Carlyle Campbell is quickly becoming known as the '' go to '' man. His outgoing personality, along with his passion for customer service and excellence, has led to his remarkable rise as a leader in this industry. He is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. and holds a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Business, with a concentration in Finance.
Carlyle received his introduction and early apprenticeship at Bahamas Realty (BRL), one of the leading agencies in The Bahamas. He worked closely with the President and Senior Appraiser, and was soon qualified as an approved appraiser and real estate broker. He was fortunate to be under the mentorship of Mr. Mario Carey, then Managing Partner at BRL, who shared his vast and invaluable experience with Carlyle. This motivation, along with Carlyle's insatiable desire for success, led to his recognition as the top Sales Agent in 2009, the year in which he also received his second award for most exclusive listings. In November 2009, Carlyle was awarded the prestigious Certified International Property Specialist designation, in recognition of his training and experience in working successfully with international clients and property. He also holds the Certified Residential Specialist designation, and is an Accredited Staging Professional.
In March 2011, Carlyle was invited by Carey to join Mario Carey Realty as a Partner and Director. He continues to excel as a real estate broker and appraiser, and has recently been dubbed ''The Condo King'', setting out to be the trailblazer in the area of condo sales and leases.
Antoine Adderley
Antoine started his career with one of the leading insurance companies here in the Bahamas. When the door opened for him to join the real estate field he quickly took advantage of it. He has been in the real estate business now for the last seven years and always makes mention that it's his dream job. He is a broker and an appraiser having joined Mario Carey Realty in 2012. He is continually educating himself about the business and prides himself on putting customer needs first. His motto '' service with integrity '' has continually guided him throughout his profession.
Sheldon Pitt
Sheldon is from the mystical island of Bimini. As he would describe Bimini...''The smallest largest island in The Bahamas.'' Sheldon spent most of his life traveling around the world, from the islands of The Bahamas to living in the United States, Canada, Europe to Central America where he sailed for many years. Sheldon started his career in real estate 10 years ago in Toronto, Canada where he bought and sold property (better known as house flipping). After many years of working and living in T.O where he financed residential and commercial projects of all sizes, this experience made him a veteran to the real estate industry. Upon returning to The Bahamas and with his love for the real estate industry, he joined the team at Mario Carey Realty (MCR) in early 2011. Sheldon's background in house flipping is where he found the love for real estate. And along with his superior knowledge of the local markets, make him a single point of contact for all your real estate needs if you're selling, buying or renting a property. Being an island boy he also has a unique out look on family island life and knows what a client looks for when it comes to the family island. In less than a year in the real estate market in The Bahamas, Sheldon has recently reached over $1 million in sales. When he is not working with buyers and sellers to find their next dream property, you can find him enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, boating, farming and hiking.
Lamond Davis
As a Seasoned Sales Agent at MCR, Lamond Davis brings his vast knowledge and experience in International Banking to the company. Prior to successfully completing the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA) salesperson course in March 2010, Lamond completed the Trust Law and Administration Certificate Stage I courses and was offered a scholarship from STEP Bahamas to complete the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (S.T.E.P.) International diploma courses. This opportunity launched his career in International Wealth Management. However, after a chance encounter with Mario Carey, Lamond changed the course of his career and is now well on his way to becoming one of Nassau�s finest realtors. In line with his commitment to self improvement, Lamond has plans to pursue his Bahamas Realtors Institute (BRI) and Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) designations. Outside of work, he is an avid fan of baseball and has undertaken the role of head coach for a junior baseball team within the Junior Baseball League of Nassau (JBLN).
Terrance Strachan
Terrance completed his studies at St. Augustine's College and furthered his education at The College of the Bahamas where he obtained a Diploma in Electrical Installation & Power Systems. He has worked vigorously in both the Hospitality and Civil industries which earned him many accolades and managerial status! Terrance along with his wife Shoine, his parents Godfrey and Sheila Strachan then ventured into their first business ''SBakery'' in 1996 which has become one the premier bakeries in the Bahamas! After building the business for about ten years Terrance and Shoine transitioned to the Abacos in 2003 where he is now serving as Senior Pastor of Lifegate Christian Ministries International.
In early 2008, Terrance & Shoine began a full service property management business namely '' Divine Property Management '' where Shoine serves as Manager. Under her able leadership the company is changing the face of professional customer-services in the Abacos.
Subsequently, Terrence sought to take the property management business to the next level by branching into the Real Estate market. After much research Terrence found out about Mario Carey Realty in Nassau, Bahamas. Terrance and Shoine, eager to learn met with Mario Carey, President and CEO of MCR. Mario was impressed with the couple and as a result added them to the MCR team. Terrance took and successfully completed the Bahamas Real Estate Association Salesperson course and is a certified registered member of BREA. Terrence then opened Mario Carey Realty Abaco! He is a true visionary and offers the finest service to all his clients!
